1812 in Niagara: A Screenplay
It's time for Canadian History to be fun - with all the glamour of Gone with the Wind. We're not burning Atlanta, we burn the White House! And we've got a cast of characters you'll never forget:
Issac Brock, the princely British General whose brother's bankruptcy in London prevents him from marrying the woman of his dreams, elegant Lady Sophia Shaw.
Tecumseh, the muscled Shawnee Chief - a fearsome warrior one day, an eloquent statesman the next. The sexiest man alive - in 1812.
Laura Secord, who's both gorgeous (if the picture on the chocolates is any indication) and fearless. She saves her handsome husband from certain death as he lies wounded on the battlefield, then crosses enemy lines to warn a British commander about an American plot. (Yes, of course we wrote the cow into the script!).
And the infamous Caption Swayze, whose ghost still haunts the Angel Inn.
Is it 100% historically accurate? No Way!
Is it fast-paced, exciting and a great read for the 200th Anniversary of the War of 1812? You bet!
